Medical liability reform may get killed in the Senate by Democrats, since trial lawyers respresent one of their biggest campaign donors. However, they will largely escape unharmed. The CBS evening news won't talk about the cost to healthcare nor will Dateline won't do any specials showing medical centers that close because they can't afford the premiums. In response, Democrats will mount an attack saying the problem with healthcare lies solely with the lack of government funding and recent Bush tax cuts.
