What Bush Should Be Doing

If Bush was to carve a Reagan-like legacy for himself, it cannot be done in the mushy area known as the center. Disregard advisors who claim popularity lies by moving towards the left.

  1. Address the open borders. Why is there so much hostility against any sort of border control? Is it big donors? It is the mythical latino vote.
  2. Iraq has become a proxy war with Iran, Syria, and Saudi Arabia. Their attitude towards controlling terrorism and "insurgents" is disingenuous at best. A cruise missle or two where it hurts (a refinery?) may be needed. Of course, pretend like it was an explosion. Throw out similar bullshit. Try: "We feel sorry for your explosion. America is a country of peace."
  3. Eliminate special interest groups that receive overseas funding.
  4. There is no way to make any friends on the left. Give them nothing. The people of America voted for you because they believed more in your agenda. Democrats only scream about a consensus when they lose elections.
  5. Do not allow the new Iraq to become Islamic. Do not allow Sharia.
  6. China is not our friend. Tread lightly.
  7. Stop giving away so much money, especially to less than stellar nations. Insist on economic reforms in countries where aid is given.
